The Project

For this vibrant family of seven, home needed to be more than just a place to land—it had to function, flex, and feel distinctly theirs. What began as a traditional 1970s center-hall colonial was lovingly transformed into a custom, layered family home through a large-scale renovation and thoughtfully planned addition. With five growing kids, space was limited, but the location was perfect.

For this vibrant family of seven, home needed to be more than just a place to land—it had to function, flex, and feel distinctly theirs. What began as a traditional 1970s center-hall colonial was lovingly transformed into a custom, layered family home through a large-scale renovation and thoughtfully planned addition. With five growing kids, space was limited, but the location was perfect. Rather than relocate, they chose to invest in a deeply personal transformation that now includes a spacious kitchen, primary suite, basement addition, updated bathrooms, and a reimagined exterior. From the island that seats all seven to the light-filled spaces designed for gathering, music, and daily rituals, every room reflects their story, values, and connection to each other.

Through honest conversations, we uncovered their biggest challenges and set out to solve them with intention, from functional must-haves like a dedicated pantry, mudroom, laundry, and homework station, to moments of unexpected beauty and joy. We paired our trusted builder and architect partners with a strong design vision, guiding the process from conception through completion. Color felt bold at first, but with trust came transformation—the result is a home that flows with ease, sings with personality, and embraces the beautiful chaos of family life. Every space holds meaning, designed with love, faith, and mission in mind—a true reflection of the people who live there.
